Skincare Overview
It is important to develop a daily regimen to help ward off signs of aging and correct or prevent sun damage that can lead to skin cancer. There is a wide array of products on the market that make it difficult to know what really works. It is important to remember that with any skin care regimen, it will take time to see improvement, and in some cases, your regimen may do more to prevent and minimize wrinkles than reduce them dramatically. Don’t lose hope if you are unable to see improvement in one month after starting your routine….keep with it!! We offer consultations that allow us to personalize your regimen. Remember to apply your sunscreen just before your makeup. TNS Essential Serum and a hydrating gel are always first.

PROCEDURES WE OFFER
Botox & Dysport: Tiny injections are placed into the muscles that cause frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. We are also able to treat neck bands/cords that become unsightly and help minimize the lines around the mouth and nose. For patients who have noticed that their lips are beginning to take a downward turn at the corners, Botox/Dysport can improve this unwanted look. For most patients, to achieve the best cosmetic improvement, we will combine Botox/Dysport with a variety of other procedures. For more info, www.botox.com, www.dysportusa.com
Fillers: We can use a variety of fillers known to contour the face and soften wrinkles such as Radiesse, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm and Sculptra. We highly recommend that patients use a topical anesthetic 30-45” prior to the procedure to minimize any discomfort ; For women wanting their lips injected, we perform a “dental block” so it will be painless. You may experience mild swelling of the lips afterwards for 24-48 hours and may apply makeup on the treated area the following day. Fraxel: Excellent resurfacing option for patients who have more wrinkles or acne scarring. Periorbital lines respond very well to this modality. Using fractionated energy pulses, we can minimize downtime and treat non-facial areas such as the neck, chest, and hands. Treatments consist of 3-5 about every 2-3 weeks. All types of scarring respond well to this therapy. It is considered to be safer than laser resurfacing with less risk of changing the color of the skin. Fraxel helps us be able to make your pores smaller and improve the texture of your skin. www.fraxel.com
FotoFacial / IPL: A wonderful procedure that is non-invasive to help improve the appearance of rosacea and photodamage. Broken capillaries and brown spots are lightened or removed with the intense pulsed light (IPL) while improving the overall skin tone. There is minimal down-time. Patients are advised to apply a topical anesthetic prior to the procedure.
Superficial Chemical Peels: A common treatment option for patients who do not have a great degree of photodamage or who have some problems with acne. Generally, there is minimal down-time with the procedure, especially with Dermasweep. These treatment options will help your skin feel smoother, lighten brown spots, and help with fine lines. Insurance may cover the chemical peel portion if you have acne.
Medium Depth Peels: A great procedure for those patients who have brown spots from sun exposure. It helps tighten the skin and improve fine lines. There is a week of down-time before you can begin to wear makeup but the results are worth it. Patients love the glow they obtain. This procedure helps correct sun damage and pre-cancerous spots. In some cases, we can get your insurance company to cover part of the procedure if you have a history of skin cancer and actinic keratosis.
Fat Reduction: CoolSculpting - Developed by Harvard scientists, this procedure involves freezing fat cells without damage to your skin. On average, you’ll see a 20% reduction of fat in the treated area after one visit. You can lose even more with additional appointments. The fat cells are naturally eliminated from your body over the following few months. Sessions usually take an hour per area treated. www.coolsculpting.com
Muscle Toning: EMSCULPT- is the world's only non-invasive body shaping procedure to help both women and men build muscle and burn fat.
Incontinence: EMSELLA - this unique technology provides relief for both women & men who suffer from incontinence and is a completely non-invasive option.
Hand Rejuvenation: Using a combination approach, we can help make your hands look the same age you feel. Radiesse is often used to help plump the hands so the veins are not as visible. Fraxel can resurface the wrinkles and lighten the brown spots while our freezing spray can be used just for the “spots.” Ask about our full hand rejuvenating packages.
Hair Laser: We offer one of the most advanced painless hair laser treatments available with the Soprano XL Diode laser. Within 5 treatment sessions spaced about 1 month apart, you will find a marked difference in the area treated. Dark hair responds the best and unfortunately we cannot treat any area that is tan. The bikini area and underarms are the most popular.
Mole Removal: We offer cosmetic removal of unwanted moles which costs $150. The results leave a very faint flat scar which is usually much improved from the unsightly or irritated mole that was removed. This procedure can be preformed at the time of your office visit.
Sclerotherapy for leg veins: We utilize the only FDA approved sclerosing agent, Aesclera, to help remove unwanted leg veins. The treatment is not painful though we ask that you wear compression hose for 10 days after the treatment if possible. The veins slowly disappear over a 3 month period so it is best to have these treated before summer is actually here.
Ear Piercing and Torn earlobe repairs: torn earlobes is a very common problem considering the size of earrings many women wore back in the 1980's. We are able to repair partial or completely torn earlobes and re-pierce them so you may wear your stud type earrings again. As the lobes thin thru the years, we also can inject filler, Restylane, into the earlobe and make it youthful again.
We can help determine the amount of sun damage your skin contains and tailor your skincare regimen. In many instances, we will recommend using a combination of procedures listed above. We can help improve wrinkles with botulinum toxin, minimize lines with one of our fillers, “resurface” the skin with Fraxel or a chemical peel and help tighten the laxity of the skin with Thermage or Accent. When we utilize a personalized procedure regimen, we can help your skin look its best.
